By Mr Kamol Yodsuwan

If you are looking for warm cheap Caribbean holidays then allow me to introduce you to one of the best destinations in the area. Cuba offers an incredible range of options for such a small country. You can make sure that your holiday is exactly the way you want it to be.

Best Locations in Cuba

Varadero: Located in the province of Matanzas, Varadero is the most famous beach resort in Cuba, and one of the largest resorts in the Caribbean. Also known as 'Blue Beach' because of its clear, calm waters, Varadero is fronted by a 20km (12-mile) fine white sandy beach, which is bathed by the warm waters of the Gulf Stream.

Havana: The stomping ground for swashbuckling pirates, a heavily fortified slave port for the Spanish and a lucrative gambling capital for the North American Mafia, Habana has survived everything that has been thrown at it and still found time to innovate. At the forefront of modern Latino culture, Habana has spawned salsa and mambo, Havana Club rum and Cohiba cigars.

Guardalavaca: Until the seventies Guardalavaca was just a quiet sleepy little town located on the north eastern coast of Holguin Province in the east of Cuba. How times have changed. these days it's a well-established resort with an enviable reputation. The resort is still growing, yet its current small but perfectly formed status ensures a low-key atmosphere.

Trinidad de Cuba: Declared a world heritage site in 1984, Trinidad boast the best of the colonial architecture in Cuba. It contains beautiful churches (such as the Great Parish Church, a neoclassical edifice built in 1892) and public squares, the most important of which is Main Square-surrounded by buildings of great beauty and historic and architectural interest and considered the second most important square in the country, after Havana's Cathedral Square.

Santiago de Cuba: Set on the seaside, near the island's eastern tip, Santiago de Cuba is the country's second-largest city. Vibrant, tropical, and often sweltering, Santiago is the country's liveliest cultural showpiece, outside of Havana. With a population just under a half-million people, Santiago is a world apart, with a unique history and rhythms all its own.
